If you are purchasing this to read on Kindle, don’t! About 50% in the book is in what I can only imagine is a .pdf. Therefore, for all of the interviews, the type is very small and faint. Changing the text size does not alter this fact. I just want to warn anyone who might be thinking of purchasing this to read on Kindle. It is a waste of money.

I thought this was written with a VERY heavy hand, and it just wasn’t what I was expecting. They really don’t give many secrets that are useful to an average pregnant woman, instead focusing on how cute it is that celebrities spend major bucks on everything to make their pregnancy and birth the best it can be. I understood there would be some of that, but UGH. It got old, and the fake chatty nature of the writing was just too much for me.

This book is a great insiders guide on everything from beauty tips to use while you’re expecting to what products celeb mom’s adore. I enjoyed reading the interviews with celebrity moms and finding out what their must-have items were. Great read with lots of fun information for savvy moms!

If you loved the other Black Books, this is a great one for a baby shower present – especially for new mommies who don’t want to give up on being fabulous. I’ve bought every Black Book of Hollywood Secrets because they are so much fun to read – and can’t wait to see Beauty Secrets II rumoured to be on its way!
